Job summary

Bridgewater State University lifeguards will support the Aquatics Facility operations and monitor Moriarty Pool users to ensure safety and enforce rules. They will also assist with safety, customer service, and minor maintenance during shifts.

Required certifications include Lifeguarding and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer; candidates must be BSU undergraduates enrolled for at least six credits for Fall 2026. Hourly rate is $16.00, with background check and E-Verify required.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Lifeguarding certification.
• Must hold CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certification.
• Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student enrolled for a minimum of six credits for Fall 2026.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety and customer service during shift.
• Monitor pool users and enforce rules to maintain safety.
• Assist with building cleanliness and minor maintenance.
• Recognize and prevent potential accidents/incidents.
• Report safety concerns to appropriate administrative personnel.
