Job summary

Adventureland is hiring Lifeguard Hosts to ensure guest safety and an enjoyable water park experience. You will monitor pools, assist guests, and respond to emergencies with trained procedures. This role requires physical fitness, the ability to swim, and a commitment to safety standards.

Applicants must be at least 16, pass the Ellis Lifeguard Certification, and be available for flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training provided by the park.

Qualifications

• No education requirements for this position.
• Must successfully complete the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Program before becoming a lifeguard at Adventureland.
• Swim 200 yards, tread water for 2 minutes, and retrieve a 10-lb brick from depth as part of certification.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch riders down water slides.
• Assist guests onto mats and tubes.
• Roam the pool area and scan for distressed swimmers.
• Maintain constant surveillance of the assigned area.
• Perform water rescues when necessary and provide first aid when authorized.
• Escalate medical emergencies to proper authorities if needed.
• Report safety concerns and lost children to management.
• Enforce weight and height requirements and keep the area clean.
