Job summary

Life Time in Miami is hiring an Aquatics Lifeguard to ensure safety and deliver excellent guest service at indoor and outdoor pools. You will monitor decks, assist with events, and respond to emergencies with certified lifeguard training.

Requirements include High School diploma or GED, StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid. Ability to swim 300 yards, tread water for 1 minute, and move around the pool area for extended periods is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED in progress acceptable.
• Must hold StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification or bridge to StarGuard within 1st year.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or in progress with bridge plan.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists Members and guests.
• Rescues drowning swimmers and administers first aid when needed.
• Monitor swim areas and enforce safety rules.
• Keep pool area clean and safe for Members.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Lifeguard, you must be safety minded and customer service oriented. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will help to oversee state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and out. You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as \"Dive in Movies\" & \" Poolapalooza.\"

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members


• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid


• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities


• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED


• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1 st year, whichever is first)


• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time


• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services


• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping


• Ability to tread water for 1 minute


• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping


• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience
