Job summary

Life Time Gilbert is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard who is safety minded and customer service oriented. You will monitor indoor and outdoor pools, assist with events like Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza, and greet Members.

Responsibilities include rescuing swimmers, administering first aid, maintaining safety on the pool deck, and keeping the area clean. Must have Lifeguard certification, CPR and First Aid, and be able to swim 300 yards, tread water, and lift 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Tread water for 1 minute.
• Swim and retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from pool bottom.
• Lift/carry more than 20 lbs as needed.
• Excellent guest service and communication with Members.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Lifeguard, you must be safety minded and customer service oriented. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will help to oversee state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and out. You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as “Dive in Movies” & “Poolapalooza.”

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge toStarGuardwhen current certification expires or within 1styear, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience
