Job summary

Six Flags Over Georgia is seeking an Aquatics Leader to oversee daily operation in the aquatics department at the Austell, GA park. You will support the aquatics work crew, train staff, and oversee daily operations with an emphasis on safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of aquatics leadership experience (lifeguard, ride attendant, or related role).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess and maintain Ellis and Associates Special Facilities Certification.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safe operation of the park.
• Assist with the aquatics work crew projects.
• Oversee aquatics staff through daily training, coaching, discipline, and rewards.
• Assist with department and division training.
• Occasionally work a life guarding/ride attendant position as needed.
• Maintain high audit performance (Ellis and Department audits).
• Collaborate with Operations staff to meet department and park goals.
• Uphold Guest First standards and high throughput goals.
• Handle guest comments and complaints.
• Ensure all training requirements and testing procedures are followed.
• Perform other tasks assigned by Aquatics or Park Management team.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safe operation of the park.
• Assist with the aquatics work crew projects.
• Assisting with overseeing the aquatics staff through daily training, coaching, discipline, and rewards as necessary.
• Assisting with department and division training.
• Works an assigned life guarding / ride attendant position when necessary
• Receive and maintain a High Pass / Exceeds in all Ellis and Department Audits
• Working with Operations Staff to ensure department and park goals are achieved.
• Ensuring Guest First Standards are followed and enforced.
• Maintaining high throughput goals.
• Handling guest comments and complaints.
• Ensuring all training requirements and testing procedures are adhered to as set forth by Six Flags.
• Other tasks assigned by Aquatics or Park Management team.

Pay Range

$16.00 -17.50/hr.

Qualifications

• At minimum, 1 - 2 years of aquatics experience (lifeguard, ride attendant. or relevant aquatics leadership position)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Must possess an enthusiastic and positive Guest First Orientation and enjoy working with people.
• Ability to motivate with excellent leadership skills.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must achieve, receive and maintain Ellis and Associates Special Facilities Certification.
• Outstanding performance as a team member.
• Must be able to respond immediately, adapt to, and oversee all emergency situations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be available for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• • Must be able to walk and stand for up to 8 or more hours at a time. Applicants must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds.
