City of Longmont is seeking a Pool and Ice Facility Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance, repair, and replacement across aquatic facilities and seasonal ice operations. The role includes daily water chemistry checks, equipment inspection, and preventative maintenance to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The position requires two years of maintenance experience, a valid Colorado driver's license, and proficiency in Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of maintenance, repair and operation of pumps, motors, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
• Valid Colorado driver's license required.
• Basic proficiency in Word and Excel software applications.
• Ability to work on-call and respond to emergencies with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily water chemistry and equipment checks at aquatic and ice facilities.
• Inspect facilities and operate pumps, motors, filters, and chemical supply systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate safety inspections with Maintenance Supervisor and Risk Department.
• Train staff and oversee maintenance of the Zamboni and ice surface.
• Oversee contractors and ensure safe work practices on projects.
