Job summary

Town of Plainfield is seeking a Program Instructor to lead and supervise recreational programs at the Richard A. Carlucci Recreation and Aquatic Center.

The role includes teaching aquatic programming, ensuring participant safety, documenting lessons, registrations, and reports, and adhering to town policies. Open availability in daytime, weekends, and evenings is preferred, with duties spanning indoor and outdoor activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of swimming and aquatic programming.
• Experience teaching, coaching, or instructing children, young adults and/or adults.

Responsibilities

• Enforces facility and patron rules during programs and maintains safety hours.
• Maintains and stores instructional equipment after use and assists with event setup as needed.
• Supervises program participants.
• Develops and teaches departmental programs and assists with events per guidelines.
• Documents lesson plans, registrations and program reports.
