Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a full-time Service Delivery Director to lead the Aquatics department at the Frank J Thornton YMCA Aquatics Center. This hands-on role supervises staff and focuses on growing aquatics programming and branch membership to strengthen community impact.

Responsibilities include staff development, overseeing swim lessons, lifeguards, water exercise scheduling, and on-deck supervision, with collaboration across departments and with schools and community

Qualifications

• At least two years of aquatics management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Current CPR-Pro, AED, First Aid, O2, and YMCA/Red Cross/Ellis lifeguard certifications; Swim Lesson Instructor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff development, program enhancement, and member engagement.
• Oversee swim lesson program, supervise lifeguards, manage water exercise schedule and instructors, and ensure pool safety.
• Develop and implement programs; coordinate swim lessons; on-deck supervision; teach or support lessons as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, schools, and community members to engage members and deliver excellent service.
