City of Stamford is seeking a proactive Aquatics staff supervisor to assist in planning, scheduling, and supervising swim lesson activities. You will train aquatic staff and operate the city's water safety program in line with ARC standards, while evaluating the program and staff for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include developing safety protocols, supervising lifeguards and instructors, coordinating across locations, and planning staff meetings and trainings.

Formación

• Current Lifeguard certifications from ARC.
• Ability to plan, schedule, supervise staff, and develop programs.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays during the summer season.
• Own transportation to/from and during work hours (reimbursement for work-related travel).

Responsabilidades

• Assist Recreation Supervisor and Assistant Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and supervising swim lesson activities.
• Train and supervise all aquatic staff; operate a water safety program per ARC and City standards.
• Evaluate the program and staff; assist in developing water safety protocol.
• Supervise staff, programs, lifeguards, and instructors; manage locations.
• Plan staff meetings, orientation, and training; maintain equipment inventory and dispensing.
• Assist in planning waterfront activities and supervise waterfront staff.

Assist the Recreation Supervisor and Assistant Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and supervising all swim lesson activities. Trains and supervise all aquatic staff. Operate a strict and efficient water safety program in keeping with the requirements and standards of the American Red Cross and the City of Stamford. Assist in evaluating the program and staff.

• Assist in developing water safety protocol
• Supervise staff, programs, lifeguards, and instructors
• Work with the Recreation Supervisor and Asst. Superintendent to carry out the goals and objectives of the Aquatics Swim Lessons and waterfront program
• Develop and operate/schedule a well-planned staff training program
• Accept additional duties as assigned
• Plan staff meetings, orientation and training.
• Responsible for maintaining, inventory, and dispensing of equipment.
• Manages and oversees assigned locations.

• Assist the Assistant Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and supervising all waterfront activity. Trains and supervises all waterfront staff. Operate a strict and efficient water safety program in keeping with the requirements and standards of the American Red Cross and the City of Stamford. Assist in evaluating the program and staff.

• At least 21 years of age
• At least two (2) years of lifeguarding experience
