Job summary

The Southeast Ventura County YMCA invites an experienced Aquatics Director to lead the Aquatics department, ensuring safe, inclusive, high‑quality programs and well‑operated facilities in Simi Valley.

You will develop a skilled team, oversee swim lessons, recreational and competitive programs, aquatic fitness, and collaborate with branch leadership to drive safety, growth, and sustainable participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent leadership experience.
• Two+ years of aquatics or program leadership experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications; CPO within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Aquatics operations, including swim lessons, recreational and competitive programs, aquatic fitness, and other offerings.
• Maintain a culture of aquatic safety through strong program quality, facility readiness, emergency preparedness, and compliance with standards.
• Grow program participation, swim lesson enrollment, and earned revenue using data and feedback.
• Manage pool schedules, program setup, space utilization, and communication for facility use.
