Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a dynamic leader to develop and oversee our Aquatics team and programs on site in Seattle. You will drive safe, innovative aquatic programming, ensure lifeguarding standards, and partner with branch leadership to deliver exceptional member experiences.

This role includes managing operations, budgets, staffing, training, and community partnerships, with opportunities to grow programs and mentor staff while aligning with the Y’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• 4+ years of related experience including staff supervision, program development, budget management, and fundraising.
• Current lifeguard and swim instructor certification, CPR/AED and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages the development, operations, and growth of the Aquatics Department to meet community needs.
• Establishes innovative aquatics programming and expands programs within the branch and community.
• Develops and manages the aquatics budget/s and monitors revenue and expenses.
• Recruits, hires, trains, mentors, evaluates, and supervises staff and volunteers; partners with HR on recruiting strategy.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed and programs comply with YMCA standards and regulations.
• Generates program statistics and prepares reports; conducts staff training and evaluations.
