Job summary

The YMCA seeks an Aquatics Coordinator to assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating aquatics programs. The role supports program activities, budget management, and marketing materials to expand community offerings.

You will recruit volunteers, contribute to staff development, ensure safety, and promote character-building across all programs, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience working in related program or field.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen.
• Current American Red Cross OR YMCA Lifeguard Instructor certification or equivalent and SwimLesson Instructor/Trainer must be obtained within 1 year.
• Have or ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator within 120 days
• Have or ability to obtain Bathing Place Manager within 120 days
• Have or ability to obtain Lifeguard Instructor certification within 1 year

Job Type: Full Time, Nonexempt

Reports to: Aquatics Director

Pay Grade: 7, $16.51 - $20.63/hour, depending on experience

Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Aquatics programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Associate's degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience working in related program or field.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen.
• Current American Red Cross OR YMCA Lifeguard Instructor certification or equivalent and V6 SwimLesson Instructor and Trainer must be obtained within 1 year
• Have or ability to obtain Pesticide Technician within 120 days
• Have or ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator
• Have or ability to obtain within 120 days Bathing Place Manager within 120 days
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
