Administers the daily functions related to aquatic facility operations and maintenance, aquatic programming, departmental reporting and other recreation department tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Administrative:

Participate in the fiscal management and development of the budget for all assigned recreational areas.

Responsible for all processing of payables in areas of responsibility in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.

Assist in Sawmill Lake Club campus front desk responsibilities, as needed, during absence of front desk staff or during peak periods of customer service needs (addition of Sienna Oaks facility in 2026).

Other duties as assigned.

Aquatic Facility Management:

Responsible for oversight of Association’s pool maintenance and management contract and ensuring adherence to all terms.

Responsible for communicating all necessary facility maintenance needs of the Association’s aquatics facilities to the appropriate parties (Pool Contractor, Operations Department, Recreation Director, etc.).

Collaborate with aquatics professionals (instructors, contractors, Operations Department) to purchase/order all aquatics materials/supplies.

Responsible for oversight of Association’s swim team contracts (Sienna Premier Aquatics/Sienna Sharks, Sienna Stingrays, Fort Bend ISD) and coordination of facility use with each.

Manage aquatics facilities administrative duties including but not limited to: customer service, facility use software, payables, etc.

Aquatic Programming:

Responsible for the creation, coordination, promotion and registration of new and existing aquatic programming, including but not limited to: youth, adult & active adult aquatic fitness programs, aquatic events, aquatic education programming, aquatic camps and other various opportunities for the community.

Types of programming individual may administer include (but not limited to) leagues, classes, camps, seminars, events, lessons, etc.

Responsible for the initiation, accuracy and execution of all instructor agreements/contracts for aquatics programming.

Responsible for the scheduling, supervision and coordination of designated, aquatics-specific contractors.

Responsible for the development of the annual pool schedule (and coordination of pool schedules as it relates to swim teams, swim lessons, pool contract budget, maintenance needs, reserve projects, etc.)

Responsible for a minimum of twice-per-week inspection/visit of all pools and splash pads and resolving any identified needs with the appropriate party. Minimum of three-time-per-week inspection/visit during summer season.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and/or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Database software, order processing software, desk top publishing/graphics software and email.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position supervises evening and weekend contracted employees as well as contracted instructors.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee will also be required to work some evening and weekend hours based on aquatic related on-call response or emergency needs, programming days and times and other assigned responsibilities.
