Job summary

Rentokil seeks an Aquatic Technician to manage and maintain ponds, lakes, pools, and related water features. You will test water quality, operate filtration systems, and ensure safety for aquatic life and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma (related science degree preferred) and 0–1 years in an environmental field. Candidates should be able to lift heavy objects, work flexible hours, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aquatic biology, ecology, and water chemistry principles.
• Familiarity with aquatic equipment and water quality testing instruments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in teams and communicate with staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of aquatic facilities including water quality testing, filtration maintenance, and debris removal.
• Monitor and adjust water chemistry (pH, chlorine, alkalinity) for safety of aquatic life and patrons.
• Inspect and repair pumps, heaters, valves, and circulation systems for efficiency.
• Maintain accurate work orders and records of maintenance and health checks.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as water quality issues or equipment failures.
• Provide educational programs on aquatic conservation to staff, volunteers, and visitors.
