Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group seeks an Aquatic Stage Staff (STAA) to support underwater and backstage operations in the AquaTheater and across ship venues. You will assist live entertainment during rehearsals and performances, with duties including set-up, prop handling, and SCUBA gear maintenance.

You’ll collaborate with Stage Production Managers, Aqua Cast Support Divers, and the Entertainment Technical Team, ensuring safety, technical integrity, and flawless transitions for headliner acts and guest

Qualifications

Minimum Open Water PADI or equivalent by other accredited diving agencies.
Diversified and documented diving experience or prior professional experience underwater.
Works well with a team: collaborative, communicates promptly and accurately, adaptable.
Experience with carpentry, painting, and hand tools to support repairs.
Experience with setting up and maintaining backline equipment, cabling, soldering, or repairing lighting fixtures.
Experience with video setup/troubleshooting between Windows or Mac computers and external devices such as projectors and TV screens.
Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) in Theatre or Production Arts with Theatre Technology focus.

Responsibilities

Reported to Stage Production Manager when running a show or event in a venue.
Apply diving certification to safe operation of the live entertainment program.
Set up the venue according to technical rider or track sheet; inspect and store SCUBA gear and equipment.
Assist with handling props, set pieces, instruments, and equipment for performances.
May assist with maintenance/repairs of props, set pieces, and equipment on ship.
Participate in rehearsals, meetings, and trainings; update handover notes and maintenance logs.
Communicate effectively over venue systems and use underwater hand signals.
Perform other duties as instructed by supervisors; may involve costume changes or lighting support.
Maintain venue cleanliness and report any equipment issues promptly.
