Position Overview: Aquatic Physical Therapist

The Aquatic Physical Therapist will assess and provide therapeutic interventions to patients with various physical ailments in an aquatic environment. The role involves designing and implementing personalized treatment plans that utilize water-based therapy techniques to facilitate recovery and promote overall well-being. This position requires clinical expertise and the ability to foster a supportive and encouraging environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, mobility, and functional abilities.
2. Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized aquatic therapy treatment plans.
3. Therapeutic Interventions: Apply various techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
4. Documentation: Use Raintree to maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes, in compliance with regulations and clinic policies.
5. Patient Education: Educate patients and families about rehabilitation, home exercises, and preventative care.
6. Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
7. Professional Development: Keep updated with the latest research, techniques, and best practices through continuing education and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
