Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners in Old Saybrook, CT is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (aquatic track) to conduct evaluations and implement prescribed therapy programs that restore and enhance physical performance. The Aquatic PT will design aquatic-based activities to support recovery goals.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, document progress, plan discharges with home programs and equipment, and pursue ongoing quality improvements.

Qualifications

• DPT from an accredited program is required.
• CT state license or eligibility to obtain one is required.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; orthopedic focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and prescribed PT programs to restore function.
• Implement aquatic therapy programs to promote recovery and learning new skills.
• Document progress, update goals, and plan discharge with home programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and refer when needed.
• Maintain safe, therapeutic environment and ensure patient privacy.
• Participate in staff training and quality improvement activities.
