Job summary

Riverence in Buhl, ID offers an Aquaculture Research Internship to provide hands-on experience in a large commercial operation. This short-term appointment runs May to August or other 3-4 month periods and is full-time, with possible weekend work.

Interns will assist R&D/Lab Services with routine laboratory tasks, sample collection, data recording, and daily care for trout and salmon while adhering to SOPs and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to follow standard laboratory procedures and safety guidelines.
• Basic knowledge of water quality sampling and sample handling.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine laboratory work and experiments involving trout and salmon.
• Collect samples, prepare glassware and media, and record data accurately.
• Provide daily care to experimental animals and maintain safety standards.
• Document daily fish care and test results, following SOPs.
