Job summary

NVE Pharmaceuticals in Newton, New Jersey, is seeking an Aquaculture Technician to support daily operations, water testing, and fish handling at a growing facility. This ground floor opportunity offers advancement as the company expands its hatchery and research center.

You will join a team responsible for routine maintenance, data collection, harvesting, and ensuring optimal conditions in a warm, humid environment. Night or weekend shifts may be required, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the Newton, NJ aquaculture facility.
• Conduct water testing and monitor water quality.
• Handle fish and perform grading.
• Perform system maintenance and calibrations where needed.
• Collect data and assist harvesting operations.

Commercial R.A.S. aquaculture facility breeding and producing various species of warm water fish along with live food organisms. Our original facility comprises over 20,000 square feet of hatchery and grow out. We are now completing a 16,000 square feet state of the art hatchery and research center with completion expected this fall. Our 3rd facility is 72,000 square feet and scheduled for completion in 2027. This is a ground floor opportunity with advancement in one of the most unique facilities in North America.

Aquaculture Technicians perform a variety of tasks relating to daily operations and maintenance of our aquaculture facility in Newton, NJ, water testing, fish handling, grading, system maintenance, data collection, harvesting, etc.
