Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Shoreview, MN, is seeking an APX Project Sourcing and Procurement Specialist to ensure supply continuity for specific commodities. You will report to the AP1000 Electrical Category Manager and split time between office and site locations on a 2-day-per-week hybrid basis.

You will coordinate with the APX WBS 6 procurement team, develop supplier relationships, and drive cost improvements while meeting nuclear regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and Supply Chain Experience required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in project management of major technical projects.
• In-depth manufacturing, financial, and economic understanding of APX Supply Chain Products.
• Major program leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Support WBS 6 (Fuel and Material Handling) Teams for the APX department.
• Serve as primary liaison between the APX WBS 6 project procurement team and the Shoreview Manufacturing facility; includes travel (10-20%).
• Develop working relationships with suppliers and internal partners to maintain sources of supply; identify issues and assist with resolution.
• Identify and obtain cost improvements of purchased materials and services.
• Obtain training and acquire additional knowledge to ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements.

About the role:

As the APX Project Sourcing and Procurement Specialist, you will perform main activities to ensure supply continuity across specific commodities. You will take direction from the APX Sourcing & Procurement Manager and work to deliver cost, quality, delivery, and reliability to reach organizational goals. Support for monitoring active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues.

You will report to the Manager - AP1000 Electrical Category and be located at our Shoreview, MN facility on a hybrid basis of 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will support WBS 6 (Fuel and Material Handling) Teams for the APX department.
• Support efforts to develop nuclear qualified suppliers and acts as primary liaison between the APX WBS 6 project procurement team and the Shoreview Manufacturing facility. includes travel (10-20%).
• Develop working relationships with suppliers and internal partners to maintain sources of supply. Identify standard engineering, quality and administrative issues, assisting with resolution to fulfill internal and external procurement requirements.
• Identify and obtain cost improvements of purchased materials and services.
• Obtain training and acquire additional knowledge to ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements and enhance personal growth.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be ($76,400 to $95,500) per year.
