Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field with required coursework in behavioral/social sciences.
• Must be eligible for or hold LSW licensure as issued by Maine Board of Social Worker Licensure.
• Experience with incapacitated and dependent adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform APS investigations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of incapacitated adults.
• Identify and arrange support services; petition for public guardianship as needed.
• Document investigations electronically; communicate with reporters to determine involvement.
• Assess need for guardianship and testify in court as required.
