  • Prescribe medications or make recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of assessment and patient care plan.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families, advising as needed.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy of documentation.
  • Work in a high-volume caseload environment with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate organizational, leadership, communication, education, collaboration and counseling skills.
  • Maintain communication via email to stay up to date and coordinate with staff.
  • Perform procedures in accordance with policies and regulatory issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Usual working space is a well-ventilated area. Requires standing, walking, turning, bending, stooping, and lifting. Clear speech to communicate effectively with customers (e.g. patients, families, and other team members). Fine and gross motor skills. Environment may be stressful at times, therefore ability to work under stressful conditions is necessary. Also subject to bloodborne pathogens at all times in patient care. May have occasional exposure to radiation during radiology procedures and to dangerous chemicals (cleaning and disinfecting agents).

  • Demonstrates evidence of effective organizational, leadership, communication, education, collaboration and counseling skills.
  • Frequently accesses email to stay up to date on new information within the organization and to provide a means of communication between staff members.
  • Performs all procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures of OCH and adheres to legal compliance policies and other regulatory issues.
