Summary of Job Duties: The Advanced Practice Nurse/PA will assist physicians with clinic visits, procedures, and assessments. Responsibilities include managing outpatient care, triaging patients, assisting in the operating room, and providing post-operative care. The role requires a high level of expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN License or Physician’s Assistant Certification; certified by the NCCPA
• Ability to operate standard nursing equipment
• Normal communication sensory requirements
• Ability to follow CDC Universal Precautions
• Current BLS certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Nursing experience in Neurosurgery or Orthopedics
• 2+ years of nursing or PA experience
• Prescriptive authority and DEA license to be obtained after hire

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive health assessments and manage treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
• Work independently and as part of a team to diagnose and treat patients
• Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care and facilitate consultations
• Other duties as assigned
