Job summary

Moffitt is seeking an APRN / PA-C for the Surgical Inpatient APP Department on the Evening Shift at our Tampa, FL campus. The role delivers patient care under physician supervision within protocol, focusing on postoperative and inpatient management.

Responsibilities include coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team, responding to consults, forming treatment plans, and potential minor procedures. Active Florida license and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse program.
• Active FL medical license (or ability to obtain one) and national certification.
• Active BLS and ACLS (AHA approved).
• Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating post-operative care.
• Responds to inpatient consults, assesses patients and escalates as necessary.
• Correlates data to formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Formulates treatment plans within scope of practice; may perform minor procedures.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications as appropriate; documents care per medical staff rules.
• Discharge planning and inpatient care coordination with attending and residents/fellows.
