Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida seeks an APRN or PA-C for the Rapid Response Team. The role supports patient care across the Internal and Hospital Medicine Department, under MMG guidelines, and partners with physicians to evaluate and manage diverse medical cases in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an advanced nursing or PA credential, an active Florida license, and BLS/ACLS certification, with oncology or internal medicine experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
• Active FL medical license and certification by appropriate accreditation body.
• Active BLS and ACLS (AHA approved).
• Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; hospital or ER setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating with specialists to optimize care.
• Correlates data to formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Performs minor procedures within the scope of practice.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate.
• Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.
