Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Ruskin, FL is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Radiation Oncology team. You will support physicians, manage oncology patients, and contribute to developing treatment plans within approved protocols.

The ideal candidate has oncology or internal medicine background, holds an active Florida license, and is committed to compassionate, evidence-based care in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
• Active FL medical license and certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
• Active BLS.
• Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; critical care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Assists physicians with evaluation, management and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients.
• Formulates treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice.
• May perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate.
• Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.
