This position will also occasionally work in the outpatient setting as needed. Will have RNFA experience (preferred) (APRN) or OR/surgical experience (PA)Responsibilities:· Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with many specialists to coordinate and optimize patient care.· Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis.· Formulates treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice.· May perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice.· Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within the scope of practice.· Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.· Assist in the OR in lieu of or in addition to, a Surgical Resident or Fellow.Additional InformationThis position with specifically work with Surgical Oncologists in the treatment and management of their patients. . They will also assist in the OR with covering surgical cases with a supervising MD. They may assist the inpatient and outpatient care team under the guidance of the attending. This position will work closely with Residents and Fellows to care for the Surgical oncology patients.Credentials and Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.· Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and national certification by the appropriate accreditation body.· Active BLS.· Experience in surgery/OR, oncology or general internal medicine; experience specific to the specialty preferred.· Experience as a First Assist/Bedside Assist in the OR preferred, Robotic Experience a plus, RNFA Certification a plus (if APRN).Salary Range$131,892.80 - $201,052.80Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.
