Job summary

Bristol Hospital in Connecticut is seeking compassionate, mission‑focused nurse practitioners to join the Hospitalist service providing 24/7/365 inpatient coverage.

The APRN Hospitalist will assess patients, diagnose, plan treatment, order tests, coordinate admissions and discharges, educate families, and ensure accurate documentation in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (AGNP, FNP, or ANP), National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA), DEA, CSP.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced inpatient care as APRN Hospitalist, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate admissions, daily care, and discharges; document meticulously and educate patients and families.
• Perform bedside procedures as required while delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care.

The Hospitalist service provides 24/7/365 inpatient hospital coverage for all patients admitted to the medical and surgical floors.

The APRN Hospitalist is responsible for providing advanced inpatient care, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management. They order and interpret diagnostic tests, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help coordinate admissions, daily care, and discharges. They also educate patients and families, ensure accurate documentation, and may perform certain bedside procedures, all while supporting high‑quality, evidence‑based care.

Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (AGNP, FNP, or ANP), National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA), DEA, CSP.
