Job summary

Lakeview Center in Pensacola, FL seeks a Psychiatric APRN to provide diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and outpatient therapy. The role requires an MSN, FL APRN license, DEA, and dispensing credentials, with 2 years of Psychiatric APRN experience preferred.

Suboxone certification is a plus and a valid FL driver’s license is required. The provider will operate under applicable regulations and accrediting standards, ensuring high-quality psychiatric care across community and clinical

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master of Science in Nursing and be certified as a Psychiatric APRN.
• Must have an active Florida APRN license and DEA registration.
• Dispensing Certification in Florida is required or in process.
• Two years of experience as a Psychiatric APRN preferred.
• Suboxone certification preferred and a valid FL driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in daily FACT team meetings.
• Complete visits with persons served in the community and natural settings.
• Attend and participate in the monthly MSO meeting.
• Comply with licensing, credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Document and report psychiatric services within designated time frames.
• Provide outpatient individual and/or group therapy, medication management, and psychiatric evaluations.
• Make independent medical judgments and seek consultations when clinically indicated.
• Identify and promote system changes to meet client needs and improve treatment quality.
• Oversee Interns through Preceptorship.
• Maintain compliance with LCI, MSO guidelines and accrediting bodies.

Overview

Responsible for providing psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and prescribe pertinent treatment to clients. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse shall perform all his/her duties in conformity with any standard, ruling, or regulation of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, CARF Accreditation, Joint Commission, CMS all relevant Florida state agency requirements, the standards and principles of medical ethics of the American Medical Association, and any other federal, state, or local government agency or third party payer exercising authority with respect to, or providing reimbursement for, the Practice.

Role Requirements

• Must have a Master of Science in Nursing.
• Must be certified as a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Must have an active Florida license.
• Must have active, or in process, DEA and be eligible for Dispensing Certification in Florida.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Psychiatric APRN preferred.
• Suboxone Certificate preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and beinsurable under the corporate policy.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Essential Duties

• Comply with professional licensing, credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Documents and reports psychiatric services and activities within designated time frames.
• Provide outpatient individual and/or group therapy, medication management, and psychiatric evaluations.
• Make independent medical judgments and collaborative decisions and seeks consultation from medical staff members when clinically indicated.
• Identify and promote system changes to meet client’s needs to improve the quality of treatment.
• Oversee Interns through Preceptorship
• Maintains compliance with guidelines and requirements of LCI, MSO and psychiatric standards, funding and accrediting agencies.
