Job summary

Lakeview Center in Florida seeks a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to provide diagnostic evaluations and prescribe treatment in accordance with federal and state guidelines. Responsibilities include outpatient individual and group therapy, medication management, and collaboration with medical staff; requires active Florida APRN license and DEA; two years' experience preferred.

Suboxone cert is a plus, travel within community settings may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master of Science in Nursing.
• Must be a licensed Psychiatric APRN in Florida.
• Active Florida license and DEA, with eligibility for dispensing certification.
• Suboxone certificate preferred.
• Two years of Psychiatric APRN experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and pass background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily FACT team meetings and complete community visits.
• Provide outpatient individual and/or group psychotherapy and medication management.
• Document psychiatric services within required timeframes.
• Make independent medical judgments and seek consultation as needed.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, credentialing, and accrediting standards.

Overview

Responsible for providing psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and prescribe pertinent treatment to clients. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse shall perform all his/her duties in conformity with any standard, ruling, or regulation of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, CARF Accreditation, Joint Commission, CMS all relevant Florida state agency requirements, the standards and principles of medical ethics of the American Medical Association, and any other federal, state, or local government agency or third party payer exercising authority with respect to, or providing reimbursement for, the Practice.

Role Requirements

• Must have a Master of Science in Nursing.
• Must be certified as a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Must have an active Florida license.
• Must have active, or in process, DEA and be eligible for Dispensing Certification in Florida.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Psychiatric APRN preferred.
• Suboxone Certificate preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and beinsurable under the corporate policy.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Essential Duties

• Attend and participate in daily FACT team meeting.
• Complete visits with persons served in the community and natural settings.
• Attend and participate in the monthly MSO meeting.
• Comply with professional licensing, credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Documents and reports psychiatric services and activities within designated time frames.
• Provide outpatient individual and/or group therapy, medication management, and psychiatric evaluations.
• Make independent medical judgments and collaborative decisions and seeks consultation from medical staff members when clinically indicated.
• Identify and promote system changes to meet client’s needs to improve the quality of treatment.
• Oversee Interns through Preceptorship
• Maintains compliance with guidelines and requirements of LCI, MSO and psychiatric standards, funding and accrediting agencies.
