Job summary

American Trim in Sidney, OH seeks a Project Engineer to manage the transfer of New Business Awards into APQP projects within the New Product Launch department. You will initiate APQP records, verify cost models, set up budgets and tooling, and load new parts and POs into the ERP system.

You will lead multiple APQP Type B launches from award through production, coordinating quoting data, communicating across teams, and supporting project close-out with the NPL Manager and Finance.

Qualifications

• Experience initiating APQP projects.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across departments.
• Familiarity with cost modeling and budgeting processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage initiation of new APQP projects and related systems upon formal new business award.
• Coordinate and communicate to all appropriate associates to transition Quoting/Data to NPL Project Leader.
• Capably lead multiple smaller APQP Type B launches for the Sidney operation.
• Learn and apply American Trim’s process costing and cost modeling practices.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
