Job summary

ShopRite in Matamoras, PA seeks an Appy/Deli Associate to support the daily department operations and deliver a great customer experience. You will assist the Appy/Deli Manager with prep, replenishment, and displays, while following safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include using slicing and other equipment, receiving and pricing, inventory checks, and maintaining clean, organized displays. You must be 18+ and able to lift 25–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must read/write/speak English proficiently.
• Basic math ability is required.
• Comfort operating department equipment (slicer, scale, wrapping, rotisserie, fryer, cheese grater/cutter, stove/oven).
• Lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally; work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner; work with others as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Use slicing machine and related equipment to prepare Appy/Deli products.
• Replenish Appy/Deli products and prepare items for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, preparing, storing, and price marking; restock as needed.
• Handle damaged/spoiled products per policy; report shrink or spoilage.
• Keep managers informed of low inventory or spoilage; maintain clean displays.
• Check refrigeration equipment; ensure proper performance and report issues.
• Unload trucks; transport merchandise weighing 25–50 lbs to Appy/Deli.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment; follow QA and sanitation standards.
• Display products attractively; ensure prices and item locations are correct.
• Order product as directed and remove trash/cardboard; operate baler when needed.
• Adhere to ShopRite service priorities: Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, Efficiency.
