Job summary

ShopRite of Hazlet is seeking a Store Associate in the Appy/Deli Department to support daily deli operations and provide a great customer experience. You will assist the Appy/Deli Manager, maintain a neat department, and ensure product quality and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires reading and basic math skills, ability to operate deli equipment, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Basic math skills for price checks and portions.
• Ability to operate deli equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Use a slicing machine and related equipment.
• Replenish Appy/Deli product and prepare items for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and pricing.
• Handle damaged products per policy and report spoilage.
• Monitor inventory and keep displays stocked and clean.
• Maintain safe, organized, and sanitary work areas.
• Check refrigeration equipment for proper performance.
• Assist in unloading trucks and transporting merchandise.
