Job summary

ShopRite of Hoboken is seeking an Appy/Deli Clerk to support the daily operation of the Appy/Deli Department. You will assist the manager, maintain tidy displays, and ensure a great customer experience while handling products safely.

The role requires the ability to read, write, and communicate in English, basic math, and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. You will work with slicing and packaging equipment and follow company policies to ensure quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong reading, writing, speaking and comprehension of English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to operate department equipment (e.g., slicer, scale, can-opener).
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Use a slicing machine and related equipment.
• Replenish Appy/Deli product.
• Prepare Appy/Deli product for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, pricing, restocking to ensure quality and rotation.
• Handle damaged and spoiled products per policy and report issues to management.
• Keep department clean, organized, and safe; maintain displays.
