U.S. Department of Justice is seeking an Appropriations Liaison Officer (GS-0301-13/14) to coordinate with the House and Senate Appropriations Committees and internal DOJ offices on funding requests and policy objectives.
The role involves advising leadership, preparing budget estimates, and briefing senior officials on the budget process. The position requires US citizenship, background investigations, and Top Secret/SCI clearance.
To qualify for the position of Appropriations Liaison Officer (Schedule Policy/Career), at GS-0301-13/14, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service, which includes: Applying new theories and/or developments related to the appropriations process to resolve issues; AND Developing qualitative or quantitative methods to evaluate agency programs, processes, and/or systems relating to budget and/or appropriations. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service, which includes: Conducting special assignments relating to financial management, budgetary matters and/or legislation affecting the Department; Briefing management on matters concerning the program appropriations process; AND Developing policies and/or procedures on appropriations process.You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including time-in-grade, by 10/05/2026 of this announcement.
