Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's degree or graduate study in higher education, counseling, education, workforce development, business, public administration, or a related field.
• Experience developing employer partnerships, talent pipelines, career-readiness programming, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with apprenticeships, internships, cooperative education, work-based learning, or other structured experiential-learning programs.
• Familiarity with registered apprenticeship processes, workforce agencies, compliance requirements, or related funding and documentation.
• Experience working within CUNY or another complex higher-education environment.
• Relevant professional experience in career services, academic advising, student success, workforce development, employer engagement, program coordination, teaching, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and experience maintaining and interpreting program or student data.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate apprenticeship programs and partnerships across Career Services, academic departments, student support units, employers, and CUNY partners, ensuring effective communication, timelines, workflows, and follow-through.
• Develop and maintain employer partnerships by conducting outreach, coordinating recruitment and engagement activities, supporting employer onboarding, and maintaining ongoing relationships with worksite supervisors and industry partners.
• Coordinate student recruitment, preparation, and success, including outreach, screening, intake, orientation, career-readiness preparation, advising, and referrals to appropriate campus resources.
• Provide individualized student support for apprentices experiencing academic, workplace, eligibility, payment, or persistence concerns; coordinate interventions and collaborate with faculty, advisors, employers, and support services as appropriate.
• Support academic and program integration by collaborating with faculty and academic departments to align apprenticeship experiences with program learning outcomes, course expectations, academic credit, and career-connected learning.
• Coordinate program operations and compliance, including documentation, student payment processes, workplace-hour requirements, procedures, and communication with CUNY, workforce agencies, employers, and other external partners.
• Track, analyze, and report program data related to student participation, progress, employer engagement, completion, and outcomes; maintain accurate and confidential records and prepare reports and materials for college leadership and program partners.
• Support program development and continuous improvement by identifying trends, assessing program needs, developing resources and procedures, and contributing to the expansion of high-quality apprenticeship and work-based learning opportunities.
