Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in steel or industrial manufacturing.
• Extensive MIG welding experience; TIG welding experience preferred.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience.
• Must pass physical requirements exam (vision, hearing, mobility).
• Enrollment in a registered apprenticeship program during onboarding.
• Skills-based assessment covers reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Applies welding and assembling applications in a fabrication environment; welds carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Lays out and marks weld points and positions parts in jigs and fixtures using measuring tools.
• Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Adheres to safety practices and maintains records.
• Works safely with PPE and training guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned or may change at any time.
