Job summary

Essential duties include operating welding machines to meet test requirements, reading measuring tools, interpreting AWS welding symbols, and completing daily welding tasks with quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Basic measuring skills and the ability to read gauges.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of set up and operation of welding machines to weld test requirements
• Read measuring tools (tape measure, combo square)
• Operate hand/air tools and electric grinders
• Read and interpret work instructions and AWS welding symbols from blueprints
• Perform GMAW welding assignments and metal finishing tasks to meet daily welding projects while maintaining standards of quality
