Xcel Energy in Dumas, TX invites applicants for an Apprentice (1st Year–4th Year) or Journeyman Lineman to build and maintain high-voltage distribution and transmission lines, participate in the company's DOL-certified apprentice program, and contribute to safe, reliable energy delivery.

The role includes construction, maintenance, and operations, with responsibilities for emergency repairs and storm restoration, plus travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• Must hold a CDL Class A license or obtain within 120 days.
• EEI CAST Assessment must be successfully completed.
• Must be safety-focused with quality work and customer service.
• Must be able to respond to after-hour and weekend call outs.
• Travel may be required for extended periods.
• Apprentices attend multiple year apprentice schools.
• Must communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 90 lbs and climb poles.
• Must reside within 20 miles of Dumas Service Center.
