Job Summary: The Technician is the primary frontline representative of the Maintenance PRO division. The technician will perform routine scheduled machine maintenance, as well as fluids sampling, to a wide variety of construction and mining equipment within a specified geographic territory. The Technician is a key resource in identifying and communicating additional machine needs or repairs to the customer and respective BRAMCO branch.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Participate in and successfully complete the PM Apprenticeship program comprised of classroom, online and on the job training (OJT) for a total of 6-8 months.
  2. Interact with company and customer personnel.
  3. Operate various makes and models of heavy equipment.
  4. Perform inspection of machines for abnormalities or defects.
  5. Perform preventative maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and schedules.
  6. Perform fluids sampling.
  7. Complete maintenance records.
  8. Information entry/retrieval in computer-based systems.
  9. Perform basic machine systems diagnostics and limited minor repairs.
  10. Operate the company vehicle on public highways and customer jobsites.
  11. PM services prospecting and marketing.
  12. Maintain safety and cleanliness of work environment.
  13. Opening/modifying own jobs.
  14. Overtime night and weekend work as required.
  15. Overnight travel as required.
  16. Travel to jobsites and vendor training sessions as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent; a 2-year technical degree or comparable military training is preferred.
  2. Must have a minimum of one year experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related field.
  3. Must have a valid driver's license; some locations will require Class B CDL.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.
  5. Proficient with a computer, including the basic use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and diagnostic use using manufacturer provided programs.
  6. Must have a good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems and how they are integrated.
  7. Ability to stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist and carry and lift up to 70lbs.
  8. Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 15 feet.
  9. Able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  10. Capable of working with limited supervision / self-starter.
  11. Maintain excellent customer service.
  12. Must be able to pass a background, physical, and drug screen.
