Job Summary:

The Technician is the primary frontline representative of the Maintenance PRO division. They will perform routine scheduled machine maintenance and fluids sampling on a variety of construction and mining equipment within a specified geographic area. The Technician plays a key role in identifying and communicating additional machine needs or repairs to the customer and the respective BRAMCO branch.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Participate in and successfully complete the PM Apprenticeship program, which includes classroom, online, and on-the-job training (OJT) over 6-8 months.
2. Interact with company and customer personnel.
3. Operate various makes and models of heavy equipment.
4. Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
5. Perform preventative maintenance services according to manufacturer recommendations and schedules.
6. Conduct fluids sampling.
7. Maintain accurate maintenance records.
8. Enter and retrieve information in computer-based systems.
9. Perform basic diagnostics and limited minor repairs on machine systems.
10. Operate company vehicles on highways and job sites.
11. Prospect and market PM services.
12. Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work environment.
13. Open or modify jobs as needed.
14. Work overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
15. Travel overnight to job sites and training sessions as needed.
16. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; a 2-year technical degree or military training is preferred.
17. Minimum of one year experience in heavy equipment or related field.
18. Valid driver’s license; some locations require Class B CDL.
19. Excellent communication and basic math skills.
20. Proficient with computers and diagnostic software.
21. Good knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
22. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, climb heights of 15 feet, and work in all weather conditions.
23. Self-motivated with limited supervision.
24. Excellent customer service skills.
25. Must pass background, physical, and drug tests.
