Job summary

1-Tom-Plumber NW Chicago is seeking an experienced, licensed apprentice (3+ years preferred) willing to grow into journeyman roles. You’ll work alongside licensed plumbers on emergency service, drains, and excavation projects, with opportunities to run jobs as skills grow.

We offer paid training, a clear path to journeyman, year-round work, and a supportive team environment in Lake in the Hills area. Must live within 30 minutes of the shop and hold an Illinois plumbing apprentice license.

Qualifications

• Illinois licensed apprentice plumber with 3+ years preferred.
• Strong technical plumbing skills and ability to work under supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers on service calls and learn to run jobs independently as skills grow.
• Perform plumbing repairs, drain cleaning, and installations with professional equipment.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and team members.
• Maintain and care for company vehicle and tools in good condition.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
