You will measure, cut, thread and bend pipes using hand and power tools, hang supports, and install underground piping. This paid apprenticeship progresses as skills grow under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years plumbing, 2 years in multifamily/commercial plumbing.
• Osha 10-hour certificate would be helpful.
• First aid certificate would be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling, installing and repairing pipes and fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems per specifications and codes.
• Test pipes and fixtures using water and air to detect leaks.
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required angles with hand/power tools.
• Hang steel supports from ceiling joints to hold pipes in place.
• Install underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems.
