Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking a Plumber’s Apprentice to assist with diagnosis, repairs, maintenance and installations of plumbing systems in a hands-on field role.

You will work with pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures and equipment under the guidance of supervisors, using hand and power tools and gauges as needed. This entry-level position emphasizes safety, tool organization, and collaboration with plumbers and the project team.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Plumber’s Apprentice Registration is advantageous.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Craft training is preferred.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment.
• Must have basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with diagnosis, repairs, maintenance and installations of plumbing systems.
• Works with various types of tools, gauges, and measuring equipment under supervision.
• Maintains PPE and safety equipment and follows safety plans and procedures.
• Collaborates with team members to layout, assemble, and install plumbing systems; assists plumbers as required.
• Keeps tools and work areas clean and orderly; uses personal tools as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Summary

Assists with diagnosis, repairs, maintenance and installations of plumbing systems. These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems. Works with various types of tools, gauges, and measuring equipment under the guidance and direction from supervisor.

Essential Duties

• Maintains proper use of all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
• Familiarizes oneself with project task safety plans, documentation, practices, and procedures and executes them during the workday.
• Conducts assigned daily job requirements with the utmost safety, quality, and productivity in mind.
• Collaborates with team members to layout, assemble, and install plumbing systems. Provides assistance to plumbers as required.
• Has and maintains required personal tools. Keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Possession of a valid or current Plumber’s Apprentice Registration is advantageous
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Craft training is preferred
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment
• Must have basic math skills
