Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. seeks an experienced Service Plumbing Technician to install, maintain and repair commercial plumbing systems.

The role requires a valid Texas Journeyman/Master Plumber license, strong diagnostic and repair skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal disruption. You will work in a full-time capacity with company vehicle and cell phone provided, participate in a comprehensive benefits package, and contribute to service contracts and customer relations across

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Service Plumbing Technician.
• Journeyman/Master Plumber license required by the State of Texas.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Strong self-management and autonomous work capability.
• Professional demeanor with good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose plumbing issues through observation, testing and setup.
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment for troubleshooting.
• Perform planned maintenance and inspections per service agreement.
• Handle repairs: stoppages, fixtures, leaks, pumps, backflow, rough-ins, hydro jetting.
• Maintain water heaters, boilers, and related components.
• Complete service contracts, quotes, and demand service calls.
• Explain work performed to customers and document status for stakeholders.
• Coordinate subcontractors and train technicians.
• Manage multi-project tasks with minimal disruption.

Essential Duties

• Diagnoses plumbing issues through observation, testing and setup.
• Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial equipment to perform trouble shooting.
• Performs planned maintenance and inspections as indicated in the service agreement.
• Handles the following plumbing repairs: stoppages/cabling, pumping and backflow testing/repair/replacement, fixture install/replacement and general troubleshooting or repair, domestic water/sewer or storm water leak/repair, fixture rough in, pump replacement/repair, leak locating/line tracing, hydro jetting and camera.
• Responsible for water heater maintenance/troubleshooting/replacement and boiler maintenance, boiler pumps and circulating, boiler controller, troubleshooting and system installation.
• Completes service contracts, quoted projects and demand service calls as directed.
• Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.
• Communicates and documents project status to all project stakeholders.
• Serves as a lead and front-line resource to service technicians through technical support.
• Coordinates the work of subcontractors, and trains and provides guidance to technicians.
• Coordinates multi-tech jobs, and accomplishes multiple tasks on multiple projects with minimal impact, if any, between projects.
• Reviews job contract specifications and assists with installation plan.
• Coordinates work so it aligns with the project and start-up schedule.
• Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.
• Completes documentation of invoicing data based on hours worked and materials/equipment used to complete the service.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience as a Service Plumbing Technician
• Journeyman/Master Plumber Licensed Holder with the State of Texas require.
• Required plumbing repair skills:
  • Stoppages/cabling, pumping and backflow testing/repair/replacement
  • Fixture install/replacement
  • General troubleshooting and repair
  • Domestic water/sewer or storm water leak/repair, fixture rough-in
  • Pump replacement/repair
  • Leak locating/line tracing
  • Hydro jetting and camera
• Required plumbing repair skills:
  • Stoppages/cabling, pumping and backflow testing/repair/replacement

• Must be able to read schematics and blue prints.
• Demonstrates strong self-management skills and thrives in an autonomous work environment.
