Lippert Mechanical Service, LLC a PremiStar Company is seeking entry-level Apprentices in Kansas City, MO to train as general pipefitters via a staged program from Apprentice 1 through Apprentice 4. The role emphasizes safety, tool usage, blueprint reading, and progressive responsibility under supervision.

Apprentices advance by completing required hours, learning heating and cooling system basics, piping, and certification steps, with on-the-job training and related coursework.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn through on-the-job training and technical courses.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Develop good working and safety habits.
• Understands terminology and the use of power and hand tools.
• Required to obtain the mandatory tools for Level 1.
• Has basic math skills.
• Attentive to instructions and assists the journeyman in all phases of work.
• Can document approximately 2,000 hours of employment.
• Perform laborer tasks including sweeping, cleaning, delivering, loading and unloading, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
• All Apprentice 1 responsibilities plus: read non-complex blueprints and detail drawings.
