The City of Kalamazoo invites applications for an apprentice-level role performing maintenance and construction on wastewater and storm water collection systems. You will assist with Vactor-Jet operations, transport materials, perform routine repairs, read maps, and support street and utility maintenance projects on site.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 90 lbs, and safety-conscious teamwork.

Standing, walking, driving, lifting (90 lbs), pushing or pulling, bending, reaching, squatting, reading, writing, hearing, talking, seeing (clear vision near and/or far), and working with others and alone. Work with machinery and a variety of tools; may work in various lighting situations; high and low temperatures; wet and dry conditions; and noise, dust, and odor levels may fluctuate;
A written test will be provided for this position.
