Job Summary

Our Meat Cutter Apprentices ensure that our guests receive the best and most delicious products, presented according to their requirements. In addition to providing excellent guest service and supporting the Meat Lead, you'll ensure our offerings promote guest loyalty and store growth. As a member of our Meat Team, your primary responsibility will be to cut meat and other products for sale, ensuring our customers receive the freshest products possible. You will create an exceptional customer service environment to build lifelong relationships by understanding and exceeding customer needs. To succeed, you should be a team player, eager to support your team, driven to grow into leadership, and able to inspire those around you.

Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Prior experience in the field or related field
• Education Desired: No High School diploma required
• Education Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent; Vocational/Technical
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Learn to cut meat to be sold to customers, including removing it from the cooler and cutting it into smaller sizes for packaging.
• Learn to make ground meat by using the grinder and preparing the meat.
• Accurately record and assist in preparing special orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in maintaining the meat cooler and freezer, including unloading deliveries.
• Learn all aspects of code dating.
• Follow proper procedures to meet out-of-stock percentage goals.
• Wrap and maintain the meat case.
• Rotate and check code dates on products to ensure guest safety.
• Provide products and services that meet customer requirements and abide by the company's guiding principles and service credo.
• Maintain safety as the top priority in all work aspects for team members, guests, and products.
• Provide exemplary customer service by greeting customers, fulfilling their orders, and making suggestions to enhance their shopping experience.
• Share food knowledge with team members and customers and demonstrate a commitment to learning about food.
• Learn and retain current work methods.
• Handle products and equipment properly following food safety and safety guidelines.
• Use suggestive selling techniques effectively.
• Keep equipment, tables, utensils, and floors clean and sanitized.
• Promote an environment of diversity, inclusion, and respect for all stakeholders.
