Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Electrical Line Worker Training Program.
• CDL with DOT Medical Card and clean driving record.
• Ability to multi-task and think critically.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors.
• Residence within 30-minute commute to Hillsborough HQ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and develop skillset to operate power tools safely.
• Develop recognition of hazards and follow safety requirements.
• Learn and understand sequence of work assignments.
• Perform basic skills: hoist operations, pull wire, splice OH/UG, install anchors and meters.
• Obtain Standard FA and First Aid/CPR/BLS certifications.
• Begin training on pole climbing on de-energized poles after ~6 months.
• Demonstrate climbing skills after ~18 months.
• Assist with power restoration on-call as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
