Lagrangechamber is seeking a Journeyman/Apprentice Lineman for the Stapleton outpost in Minnesota. This role involves the construction and maintenance of electrical distribution, substation, and transmission lines. Journeyman/Apprentice Lineman. Custer Public Power is currently seeking a Lineman for the Stapleton outpost. This position is open to both Journeyman and Apprentice level applicants. The Apprentice/Journeyman Lineman represents CPPD to customers. This position performs construction and maintenance of district transmission, substation, and distribution facilities. This position is the culmination of an extended training period planned to develop a competent craftsman who can provide the needed services for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the electrical distribution system. The Apprentice/Journeyman Lineman is expected to be able to perform all types of line work with or without supervision. The Apprentice/Journeyman Lineman should provide supervision to and assist Apprentice Lineman and Ground man. High school diploma or GED is required. Associate degree in line construction desired. Completion of the four-year, Merchants Program (or equivalent) desired (required for new employees and for current employees for advancement or lateral movement). Must be or will be trained in CPR, basic first aid and capable of pole top and bucket truck rescue. Location is Stapleton-based fieldwork. Housing and residency options will be discussed to ensure on-call requirements are met.
